RCGP ePortfolio Version 4.1 Release Notes

The RCGP is pleased to announce that Version 4.1 of the ePortfolio is now live. This release introduces a new Clinical Supervisors Report (CSR) to the ePortfolio and builds on the new functions introduced with Version 4.0.

New Features:

• Clinical Supervisors Report (CSR) – The CSR form has evolved into a new format that has been piloted in secondary care across three Deaneries with great success. It has been designed to make the report easier to complete and more focussed in the information that it collects. It should be used by all Clinical Supervisors whether in primary or secondary care but its aim is primarily to gather information from hospital posts.  An example of the form and more details can be found at the bottom of the page.
• New ARCP Panel Member View – The ARCP panel member view has been greatly enhanced following Deanery feedback to be more useful in conducting an ARCP panel. This includes new options for filtering trainees recommended to the Panel.
• ARCP form – The ARCP form can now have the date manually altered by the Panel Member to more accurately represent the date of the ARCP Panel.
• Right Click functionality – The right click functionality has been enabled within the ePortfolio.
• Personal Development Plan – The PDP layout has been slightly redesigned and a new field added for reflection on a PDP entry once completed.
• Learning Log – It is now possible to attach weblinks to learning log entries. This should allow better use of storage within the ePortfolio by being able to link to webpages. Please note: The RCGP can not be held responsible for the content of external webpages.
• Code of Conduct - A code of conduct for all users within the ePortfolio has been added.
• Posts – All post information for all users should now fully show ST year and %WTE. This was previously not viewable.
• Posts – Deanery Administrators should now be able to see more clearly what a Trainee’s current post is and their current Trainer/Clinical Supervisor(s) and Educational Supervisor details. They will also see the Trainee’s expected end of training date, based on the posts entered.
• Reviews – The declarations that appear on a Review should now be relevant to the post the Review was conducted under.
• Reviews – The load speed of the 5 page Review has been greatly increased. Also the navigation links for the Review now appear both at the top and bottom of the screen.
• Locations – Deanery Administrators can now add new Training Locations to the ePortfolio.
• Locations – Trainee Locations should now update correctly when trying to add new contacts in the address book
• Deanery Administrators can now view trainees by Training Programme when selecting them.
• Evidence – All submitted evidence will now have the date submitted included at the bottom of the form.
  
  

Bug Fixes:

• Trainee Evidence – Fixed a bug that would cause Trainers and Educational Supervisors to see the wrong Review period on the Trainee Summary screen. This will now match the evidence screen
• Progress to Certification – Fixed a bug that caused the latest Review or ARCP to not display on this screen.
• Progress to Certification – Fixed a bug that could cause the ARCP option to vanish if a new ARCP was in progress.
• Improved Security – Independent penetration testing has been run on the ePortfolio to assess its security. A number of changes have been made as result of this test that improves the performance and security of the ePortfolio.
