As a requirement of completing MRCGP, all trainees must demonstrate competence in CPR and automated external defibrillation (AED). The suggested route for achieving this is to submit a valid certificate of competence in CPR & AED into your trainee ePortfolio via the Learning Log and this can be validated against the appropriate competency area in the Trainee ePortfolio by your Educational Supervisor. The certificate must have been issued to the trainee by a Resuscitation Council (UK) ALS instructor or equivalent during GP specialty training and conform to Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines in place at that time.
