There will be three sittings of the AKT in each year. Candidates apply online for the next available date. Only one date will be offered at a time.

CSA

Important notice regarding bookings for the CSA examination in May 2012

The procedure for booking CSA examinations has now changed and is part of a wider system development for more efficient delivery of the examination at the RCGP’s new premises later in the year. It will also increase the flexibility for the RCGP to ensure that those who currently feel disadvantaged by applying later within the booking window will have the same chance as others to take their examination during the more popular days or weeks.

In order to optimise the number of examination circuits that are utilised during the May 2012 session, and to ensure a degree of fairness in the allocation of appointments, it is assumed that all candidates will be available on each of the dates published. Regrettably, we are unable to allow candidates to choose when they would like to attend the examination so at the time of applying you must let us know if you foresee insurmountable problems in attending on any particular days, or at a specific time, and we will endeavour to take account of this. We cannot however guarantee that this will be possible in every instance.

It is possible that we may not hold examinations on each of the dates published, as the scheduling will depend entirely on the number of candidates who want to sit on this occasion.

The time and date of your Examination

You will be notified of the date and time of your examination by email before 5:30pm on Thursday 5 April 2012. Please do not telephone or email the Exams office prior to this time as the scheduling process will not have been completed until ALL applications have been received and processed.

Fees must be paid at the time of application.

*The application window for the May 2012 CSA examination is 27 March to 2 April. You will receive notification of your appointment within three days of the applications closing but not before this date.

Duplicate bookings and cancellations

Please note that duplicate bookings will not be accepted.

Candidates wishing to cancel their booking should refer to the cancellations and refunds policy (word, 274kb).  Applications are confirmed in an automatically generated email.
