Portfolio Version 3.1 release notes.
The RCGP is pleased to announce that ePortfolio Version 3.1 is
now live. This is not a huge overhaul of the system, but instead a
tidy up of some areas and some navigation improvements. Details of
changes can be found below:
Weekly Maintenance
Starting from Monday 18 August, we will begin performing regular
scheduled weekly maintenance on the system between 7am and 8am. At
this time the ePortfolio will not be available. We expect this
regular downtime to be no more than an hour each week, and advise
people not to use it at this time. We will also be using this
period as needed to introduce patches and bug fixes. This will mean
occasionally an extended maintenance period, but we will advertise
this ahead of time as best as we can.
Enhancements:
Learning Log - We have improved the navigation of the
learning log for all users. It is now possible to navigate from one
learning log entry to the next without having to always go back to
the main list. You can now view all learning log entries on one
screen, and can jump to pages as needed.
Learning Log - New categories have been added for
Audits/Projects, Significant Analysis and eLearning Modules.
Ticket Codes - All Ticket Codes are now valid for 6
weeks.
MSF - It will no longer be possible to enter MSF
results without a ticket code from a trainee.
Office 2007 - It is now possible to upload Office 2007
documents within the ePortfolio.
Uploads - We have improved the uploading of documents
to display progress and indicate when a file can no longer be
uploaded.
PDP - PDP entries can now be deleted. Clicking on the
Trash Can icon next to a PDP entry will give trainees the option to
delete them.
Route to Certification - Deaneries can now easily see
in Trainee Profiles if they are an Article10/Article 11
trainee.
PSQ summary - A key is now present showing each grade
for the PSQ.
Skills Log - The DOPS score column has been replaced
with a DOPS present column. This will show a count of the number of
DOPS submitted for the skill and clicking on this number will take
you to the DOPS.
Trainee List – Deaneries will now be able to view
out-of-post trainees when looking at their trainee list.
ePortfolio Forms - Layout of some of the Evidence Forms
has been altered to make them consistent.
PSQ handout – It is now possible to produce a PDF copy
of the PSQ handout.
Bug Fixes:
Alphabetical Listing - Listings for Deanery
Administrators, Trainee, specialty and Posts should all be
consistent now.
Download/Save Option – This has been removed as it did
not work as intended. We will revisit this at a later stage.
Summary Screen - When a Trainer/Supervisor selects a
trainee, they will now see a summary of all evidence complete for
the trainee in the current review.
Create/Edit a post - For Deanery Administrators, when
creating or editing a post, you will now be taken back to the Post
list for the trainee, instead of the evidence screen.
Evidence - If only one item has been submitted for an
evidence type, clicking on this will no longer take you straight to
the form, but instead take you to the date list, so you can see the
submission date.
Help Documents - For Deanery Administrators, saving
changes to a document in the help section will no longer remove
access for all other deaneries.
Additional Text - Additional Text has been added to the
Evidence, Learning Log, Skills
Log and other areas to give more information about the use of
this section.
Curriculum Coverage – There is no longer an option to
Rate Trainees in this area for Educational Supervisors.
Text Corrections – There have been numerous text
corrections in many areas across the ePortfolio.
System Errors – We have identified several areas where
errors were being produced that gave unhelpful system messages. We
have corrected these and will continue to monitor and correct them
where possible.
