A Review of GP Specialty Training in the UK : The Tooke Inquiry Report (Aspiring to Excellence; Jan 2008) recommended that post-Foundation Programme specialty training for general practice should be extended. The Department of Health has asked the RCGP to work with Medical Education England to undertake a review of the case for extending GP training. A questionnaire seeking comments from stakeholders and interested parties can be viewed on the RCGP website.
Curriculum Guardians needed. The RCGP is seeking suitably qualified people to become Guardians for the following GP Curriculum Statements: ENT & facial problems, metabolic problems, neurological problems, and skin problems.
General Practice Specialty Training – Making it Happen
The RCGP has published official guidance to assist GP educators in training registrars. Written by a hand-picked team of experts, this is the only text available that provides tips and expertise for GP educators on the new assessment process.
