Future changes to the Curriculum - the aims and structure of
the revision
The RCGP GP Curriculum was introduced in 2007, and has been used
by all trainees since that date. Since its introduction we have
gathered feedback from users and are now making changes in response
to this feedback. These changes will be implemented from August
2012.

structure
- illustrate better the connections between the doctor’s training
at different stages of their career
- update the content of the curriculum in response to changes in
knowledge of best practice, service needs, patient expectations,
society, and training needs
- give a better description of the theoretical educational
framework for the curriculum and how this can support the training
